The Cleaning and Transport Unit is responsible for maintaining our hospital's hygiene standards at the highest level to ensure a healthy environment and safely carrying out patient transport services. It works meticulously to protect patient and staff health, prevent hospital infections, and ensure the safe transfer of patients.
Duties of the Cleaning and Transport Unit
✅ General Cleaning Services
Maintains hygiene standards by implementing daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning plans across all departments of the hospital. Conducts regular cleaning of operating rooms, outpatient clinics, patient rooms, laboratories, waiting areas, and administrative offices.
✅ Disinfection and Hygiene Practices
Performs detailed disinfection procedures in compliance with hygiene protocols, particularly in operating rooms, intensive care units, and sterile areas. Applies special disinfection methods in cases of epidemics and infectious diseases.
✅ Medical and Domestic Waste Management
Ensures the segregation, collection, and disposal of medical waste in compliance with relevant regulations. Organizes the regular collection and eco-friendly disposal of domestic waste.
✅ Patient Transport Services
Provides mobility support with stretchers or wheelchairs to safely transport patients from outpatient clinics to units such as radiology, laboratory, operating rooms, and inpatient wards.
✅ Support for Disabled and Reduced Mobility Patients
Assists elderly, disabled, or post-operative immobile patients to ensure their comfortable transportation within the hospital.
✅ Emergency Response and Rapid Support Services
Transfers patients quickly and safely to relevant departments in emergency situations, working in coordination with the emergency room and other critical units.
✅ Maintenance of Equipment and Transport Vehicles
Ensures patient safety through regular maintenance of stretchers, wheelchairs, and other transport equipment used.
